Back in May 2015, I spent a weekend with eldest son Graham, Danielle, Fergus, Finlay and Fraser in Bransgore, Dorset on the edge of the New Forest, Whenever I visit we always – yes always – go to Stewarts, which is without a shadow of a doubt the finest Garden Centre in the country, only matched by Matthews Plants in Essex – but they are as different as chalk and cheese, and both fine in their own way. It happened to rain and as Graham and I had some distance to walk to his car, I donned a Wilko carrier bag in that familiar shade of purple (I always carry a carrier bag these days to avoid having to pay for one). Graham took this photograph. As the man in grey walked past, he commented: “That’s a stupid jumper!”. Think about it!
Welcome to my new creative outlet. There is so much to tell that has not been revealed in all my books to date!
